RS SR and 2 yr full-time starter at SAF where he plays both SS and FS in the 3-3-5 Nickel defense of TNMS. He has good height, poor weight with solid speed, and a slender build. He is an above-average athlete showing good acceleration, balance, and COD with solid quickness, agility, explosiveness, and good top-end play speed. In off coverage, he does a good job of reading his man and displays solid quickness and agility as he stays in phase with TE and Slot WR with adequate AA and play speed as they break off their stem or run down the seam. Exhibits quality closing speed in pursuit as he makes the tackle if the ball is caught in front of him preventing significant YAC. In the zone, he displays good hip fluidity as he turns and bails patrolling the deep third of the field in cover 3 or his half of the field in cover 2 with his good AA and play speed while reading the eyes of the QB. He displays good ball skills as he quickly locates the ball and times his hands perfectly as he disrupts the trajectory of the ball for a PBU. Against the run, he shows good football intelligence as he quickly reads run/pass and shows very good instincts as he takes the correct angle in pursuit moving well in the open field and in traffic. He squares his shoulders as he gets his pad level down exhibiting solid explosiveness through the hips before delivering a good form tackle on RB with solid size and AA. Displays good competitiveness as he plays at a high level throughout the game. In rare instances where he is in press coverage, he is sub-par due to marginal timing and placement of his hands while trying to jam slot WR with good SAQ allowing him to release inside. Adequate play strength prevents him from quickly disengaging from run blocks by TE and Slot WR with good UOH, physical toughness, and play strength.
