What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2023 NFL Draft

  • I think my ability to make plays consistently and my football knowledge is what makes me a prospect for the 2023 NFL draft.  Those two factors are what sets me apart on and off the field.

At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?

  • My dad played football in college so I think football was always something I was going to be interested in.  Some of my first football memories are waking up early on Saturday’s to watch college gameday when I was about 6 or 7 years old.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

  • I think NFL teams should know that I pride myself on being smart and dependable.  I’m a team first guy who is willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

  • My dad always tells me to be confident and ‘take what they give you’. I like this advice because it reminds me to just be in the moment and let things come to me.  I don’t need to force certain things, I can just rely on my instincts and be confident in my actions.

Who was your childhood hero?

  • My childhood hero was probably Aaron Rodgers. Being from Northern California and growing up a Cal fan he was a guy I always looked up to. I remember cheering for the packers during their super bowl run strictly because of him.

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?

  • Most underrated teammate in our locker room is either Justin Clark or Chimere Dike.  Justin is a transfer from Toledo who is gonna play corner and nickel for us and he has been balling all spring ball and fall camp so far.  I’m really excited to see him play on Saturdays.  And Chim plays WR for us and he doesn’t get a bunch of live because we are obviously more known for our running attack. But Chim challenges us everyday in the secondary and he is going to have a huge year.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

  • My biggest pet peeve is when someone chews their food super loud and with their mouth open. I can’t stand that.

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?

  • Wisconsin is special to me because of the culture in the locker room. We are extremely close on and off the field and I think that is what makes us such a consistently good team year to year.

What is your favorite snack food?

  • favorite snack food has to be ruffle’s or some type of pretzel.  Anything salty is the perfect snack.

What is the best part of football?

  • The best part of football is the bonds you make with the guys along the way.  It’s the ultimate team sport and without the connection between teammates the team would be nothing.  So making those bonds is the best part of it for me.

If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?

  • Im someone who really understands the X and O’s of football and is willing to go the extra step for the betterment of the team.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?

  • If I had to compare myself to someone in the NFL I would say Minkah Fitzpatrick because of his ability to play free and creative and his play making ability.  I love watching him drop into the weak hook position on film, it gives me lots of ideas and tips on the best way to play that position and coverage.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

  • If I could have dinner with three people dead or alive I would choose Michael Jordan, Steph Curry and Kobe Bryant.  I love basketball and just to hear those three guys tell stories and talk about their careers would be amazing.
