UT-Martin sack machine Eyabi Anoma enters the transfer portal again….

Eyabi Anoma was a five star pass rusher coming out of high school and his journey has not been the greatest. Anoma signed with the Alabama Crimson Tide as the top player from his position back in 2018, and now he is transferring again.

Anoma will be headed to his fourth program. Yes, FOUR PROGRAMS.

Anoma was dismissed from Alabama back in 2019, then transferred to Houston in 2020. Last year, he landed on UT-Martin and did well. He finished with 36 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and racked up six sacks.

Eyabi Anoma is a massive man, he stands at 6’6 and weighs 270 pounds. To leave your team a couple weeks before the season starts is rough. The sad thing is Anoma was finally getting traction from NFL teams. I have already talked to several teams that were intrigued by his abilities, but many question his commitment.

He actually apologized to Houston and Alabama saying he is learning from his actions, but him back in the portal a couple weeks before the season kicks off makes teams question your commitment.

“I am learning everyday that every action has a consequence, and it is my responsibility to decide whether or not my actions will be positive or negative. As a young man, I can only take things one day at time … I want to say thank you to my supporters and family for not giving up on me when things started to get difficult.”
