What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

So it was mostly my dad. My dad had a huge influence on me and so I decided to try out in middle school and it’s been good ever since.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

We played Villanova last year and I they were ranked and that was just a great football moment and a great team win.

What sets you apart from other offensive linemen?

I’d say my intelligence and my calculation. My time in the film room and studying is equivalent to my play out there.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I bring the juice, I’m the juice guy. I’m just excited to be a part of football and put the fun into football the games, workouts and practices every aspect is fun.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Taylor Lewan and Brian O’Neill, I think that they are great football players and it would be cool to pick their brains and past I would say Mike Munchak.

What are your favorite things about playing football for William and Mary?

I love the atmosphere that they have here and the people are great and the coaching staff is one of the best in the country and they let you talk to them about real life stuff and it’s a real family based system here.

What should we know about Colby Sorsdal the person?

I’m always looking at things positive in life, glass half full and I’ve been blessed and look forward to continuing to play football.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

I’m a pro system guy with a little more zone reads and RPOs but I like that it’s precise and detailed.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Adversity is a part of life and football. So I know that there are ups and downs so whenever you have a down you can look forward to an up. And also having a short term memory about things.

What would a team get in a player like you?

I would be surely a hard working and an intelligent player and I’d do whatever is best for the team and whatever the team would want me to do.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I’m looking forward to winning alot of games and really to see what this team does and Charlotte’s coming fast and I’m looking to win.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Nate Atkins, he was a linebacker here in 2018 and 2019 and he was the smartest player you could meet he knew everything and he was an unbelievable leader and player.
