What made you decide you wanted wanted be a football player?

Just playing in the backyard with my brothers. My dad played football in college and had us playing at a young age and I have always loved it.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I’ve had a lot of great memories on the field some of them being winning the state championship in high school and the playoff run in 2021, but most of my favorite memories come from spending time with my teammates and the friendships I have made.

What sets you apart from other linebackers?

I would say my football IQ and discipline in my assignment is what sets me apart. I understand what the offense is trying to do so I can be a step ahead and make plays and I can always be counted on to do my job within the defense.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I bring a positive and focused energy. I don’t ever like to get caught up in the emotion of the game but like to stay locked in on winning.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Brian Dawkins because I was a huge Eagles fan when I was younger and just the mentality he brings to the game would be cool to hear about.

How do you prepare for games?

I like to stay relaxed before games up until we return to the locker room after the warm up. Then I will listen to some pre game music and say a prayer and I’m ready to go.

What should we know about Callahan O’Reilly the person?

I’m a super optimistic person who is always looking at the positive things in life.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

Favorite defensive scheme is single high. It allows us to have an extra run fitter in the box and just know your gap and play fast.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I have leaned on my faith and family through challenging times, but I like to embrace them and learn from them because those times push you to grow as an individual.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Someone who is going to show up everyday and earn everything through hard work and discipline.

What are you looking forward to in in upcoming season?

Just getting to play with the guys I’ve been with for 5 years now and to play in front of my hometown for one last season.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Chase Benson, he was a defensive tackle for us that graduated last year. He just did so many things that were a huge part of our success that don’t show up on the stat sheet.
