What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

My dad, grandpa and uncles were really into football field and we were a football family and when I started playing football I loved it and I believe it helped me become a better man.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I played 8 man football in high school and it was a small school so I’m glad I got an opportunity to play college football and every time I step on the football field in college I never take it for granted and it’s never something I will forget it’s a dream come true.

What sets you apart from other linebackers?

My length, then my motor and instincts. I think being 6′ 4″ I’m able to play Sam and knock passes down and my motor and my instincts allow me to play Will.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I try to always feel what the team needs if the team needs energy I’ll give it and if we are too hyped I will mellow it down I just like keeping things even keel.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Troy Polamalu, he’s always been my favorite player, he knows how to tackle well and it would be cool to see how he prepared for games. He was awesome to watch.

How do you prepare for games?

Obviously alot of film. I like to see if I can catch any of there checks and audibles and i always like envisioning myself how it will happen and making the play and usually I do all my thinking the week before saturday.

What should we know about Cade Harelson the person?

I’m probably hanging out with my wife and dog, my faith is important to me and do everything for my savior Jesus Christ and I just do everything for my family and him.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I’d probably say a 3-3 just because it allows you to make negative plays for linebackers.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Just changing my mindset to every challenge is a chance to get better and even if you fail its a chance to learn and get better.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A guy that’s dedicated to the team first, trying to be a superstar in whatever role I have and being coachable.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

Most importantly just enjoy my guys and the game I love and the ability to go win a championship with my family.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Dawson Hammes, we grew together and he isn’t underrated on the team but I think he I’d to others. I think he’s primed to have a big year this upcoming season.
