Talk about your experience as a student. What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
I am a Business major. As far as other activities on campus, I’m really more of a stay at home person. However, here and there I will play pickleball with the faculty and students or Basketball with my Teammates.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?
I can say that they see me as a person who would be there for them in any situation off the field, as well as a reliable player and teammate when it comes to being on the field.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
My main role on the team is to be a leader as a returning starter from last year’s championship team. I would say just being there for my teammates when they need me or recognizing when something needs improvement and handling it the correct way.

As far as scheme, I could play both inside and outside Wr. My best game is played in the slot. A little mix of WR/TE. As far as playing TE at the next level, I would do anything to help the team win. As far as my career, I have not played as an attachment Y but more so of the Y receiver in spread formations. Blocking linebackers and safeties is something I feel more than capable of doing as the inside receiver. I feel my threat in man coverage helps spread the defense to open up the run game, but also open up other receivers.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
I’d have to say Hollywood Brown. I played against him my freshman year at Ventura Community College in California.

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
KJ Miller. (He does everything)

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
In 2019 when I failed to get my associate degree at ventura college losing offers while dealing with adversity forcing me to take a year away from the game.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
Basketball without a doubt. It was the sport I intended to play in college.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?
To still be on the field. Coming out of high school without any offers, you understand that you may never step foot on the field again. So to still be in a position and have the opportunity of chasing my dream is something I am proud of and will not take for granted.

Winning the national title while breaking the school record for TD receptions is something that I am proud of because before I came here to Texas these were goals the coaches and I discussed on the phone during my recruitment process.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
The last play of my junior college career in the title game my sophomore year. We ended up losing a tight game as time expired. It is most memorable for me because it reminds me of the work I did not do that possibly could have changed the outcome. It lit an eternal fire in me to never want to feel that way again which I am extremely grateful for because if the outcome of that last play would have been different, then I may never be the player or person I am today.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
Kobe Bryant. Even though I play football his will and mentality as well as his ability to inspire others is something that correlates to all athletes and has helped me grow on my journey. I would model my game after Kobe because he is fearless when it comes to any game situation. The Lakers would be my favorite team if I had to choose one.

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
Nipsey Hussle. (Mailbox money)

What is your favorite comfort food?
Tacos.

Do you have a favorite movie, TV show or actor?
Coach Carter is one of my favorite movies. One of my favorite actors is Will Smith. Fresh Prince of Bel Air is my favorite TV show of All-time.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?
In my spare time, I am usually watching investment videos or ted talks. Occasionally, I will hop on the ps5 and play Madden or 2k. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and podcasts. A secret talent I have is that I play chess.

Why do you play football? Who or what motivates you the most?
I definitely have a strong love and passion for the game. My dream has always been to play on Sunday’s. My Mother is my biggest motivation. Putting myself in a position in the future to hold it down for the family is what motivates me most.
