South Carolina high school football player Joshua McPherson was shot and killed in a senseless crime
A football player at Wilson High School in Florence died Sunday morning, according to Head Football Coach Rodney Mooney.
The teenager died in a shooting at apartments near Coastal Carolina University Sunday morning.
Joshua McPherson, 17, died at a local hospital following the shooting at Coastal Club Apartments, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden.
The football team also asked people to keep the Wilson family and community in their prayers after losing a football player overnight.
