Former Patriot and Hula Bowl Alumni Danny Woodhead moves one step closer to qualifying for the US Open
Danny Woodhead is a small school football standout from Chadron State who had an impressive Hula Bowl performance that propelled him into a role in the NFL.
The former NFL running back moved one step closer to qualifying for the US Open.
Woodhead is trying to qualify for the 2022 US Open. He shot an even-par 71 at Omaha Country Club in Nebraska. Woodhead finished tied for third place, which made him one of five golfers to advance from that particular qualifier site to the Final Qualifying stage.
Woodhead has not played football in four years, but he is still playing sports at a high level. You have to love it! We are rooting for Danny to get a shot!
