We’re less than a week away from the start of the 2022 NFL Draft and the mock drafts are still coming. Next up we have a full 7 Round Mock Draft for the Kansas City Chiefs 2022. The Chiefs parted with Tyreek Hill after contract negotiations broke down and netted a small ransom in draft capital in return. While replacing Hill’s production is a priority the Chiefs have a lot of work to do on the defensive side of the ball particularly along the defensive line and in the secondary. With 12 draft picks including two in each of the first four rounds the Chiefs should be able to mitigate Hill’s loss with the like as Penn State’s Jahan Dotson, Georgia’s George Pickens, and/or Western Michigan’s Skyy Moore. Meanwhile, defensively Kansas City should make good use of the depth at edge rusher and interior defensive line with notable prospects available such as Minnesota’s Boye Mafe and Penn State’s Arnold Ebiketie. But the work doesn’t stop there. The Chiefs need to overhaul their secondary perhaps by adding potential Day 2 targets such as Jaquan Brisker, Jalen Pitre, Tariq Woolen, and Cam Taylor-Britt. Couch Potato General Manager takes the challenge of drafting for what will be somewhat of a new look Chiefs team. CPGM puts on the “GM” cap and navigates a full 7 round mock draft for the Chiefs.
