Very loved Youth Football Player Rodriques Minor shot and killed in Memphis | Not the intended target
Rodriques Minor aka Lil Rocky was just 15-years-old. He was not the biggest kid, but he would go up against any player in the sport. He was a competitor and he was very loved in his community. The young man and a 16-year-old girl were shot this past weekend. Someone fired shots and hit both Minor and the young girl. Neither were the intended targets, but Minor did not make it.
According to the GoFundMe Page, On Saturday, March 5, 2022, Lil Rocky (15) and some friends decided to go downtown to Riverside to ride the scooters and hang out since the weather was perfect for outdoor activities. Later that evening, while waiting for his ride to pick him up, gunshots rang out, and he was struck by a stray bullet.
The Freshman football player died at the hospital from the injuries.
His coach says he was not the intended target
“He wasn’t the intended target, he was just down there enjoying himself like he always does,” Coach Berry said.
