What sets you apart from other running backs?

What’s sets me apart from other backs is that I’m durable, I have power and speed, patience to let my linemen work, I can catch the ball and play WR if needed too.

How are you planning to prepare for the draft?

I’m training over at exceed training facility in Westbrough, MA. working on lateral movement, speed and positional drills.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Don’t really have a favorite moment but playing the sport definitely builds connections to other opportunities. The sport itself taught me a lot of life and business.

If there was a billboard with 5 of your traits on it which 5 traits would be up there?

Mental toughness, self confidence, physical strength, adaptability and determination.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

To be honest, I’m a person who loves to see my teammates push themselves so I bring high intensity. even if I don’t talk, you’ll see with action.

What should we know about Kevin Mensah the person?

He’s a guy, who’s humble, doesn’t really talk a lot. Always looking for improvement, a hard worker who is willing to change the lives of his family and others.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Looking to achieve the dream of playing professional football and helping whatever team picks me up to a championship.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Rickey Williams to see how he handled adversity from people considering him of the the best to not one.

What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Just seeing how being a football player can inspire so many young kids to keep striving to their dreams especially in a community where there is a lot of distractions.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A silent hard worker, a smart football player, a player who always wants to see the team strive together. A player a team can depend on and a player who is very eager to win championships.

What is your favorite run play and why?

Any type of inside zone. It gives the running back freedom to create space and confuse the defense to create lanes to the second and third level. I personally think it’s a run play for running backs to showcase their talents and obviously open up pass plays.

What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

As a team, great game plan, discipline and knowing your assignment, great week of practice. Individually, knowing your opponent better than themselves, studying the game plan, having a great week of practice, mentally and physically.
