Where will Jimmy Garoppolo end up? Could he end up in Houston after Watson is traded?

97 FCS football players on NFL rosters? Former Eastern Illinois quarterback Jimmy G, is just one of 97 players from the FCS Division to make it to the NFL and stick on the roster!
Could former Eastern Illinois QB Jimmy Garoppolo have a new home soon? The 49ers gunslinger looks to be an odd man out at this point.

Could Jimmy Garoppolo find a new home in Houston? With all the quarterback news starting to fall, the quietest name of the bunch is Jimmy G.

The San Francisco 49ers seem to be fine with keeping both Trey Lance and Jimmy G, but could he still be dealt?

Garoppolo at one point figured to be the most prominent quarterback to move in the offseason. Now the new league year hasn’t opened and a slew of QB moves have limited a market that might’ve already been thin.

Aaron Rodgers returned, Russell Wilson landed in Denver, Wentz was traded to Commanders, Tom Brady returned, Kirk Cousins was given an extension, Marcus Mariota rumors to Indy are heating up, and Deshaun Watson to either Carolina or New Orleans seems like the next move.

That leaves the Seahawks, Texans, Steelers, and Panthers/Saints looking for a quarterback. Unless something else happens this off-season. I mean it has already been wild. I would not be shocked if the Texans or Seahawks make a play for Jimmy G, but the 49ers are not going to trade him in their conference. That leaves me to believe the Texans could be the team that ends up landing Jimmy G with some of the draft capital they get back from Watson.

What do you think? Will the Texans draft a quarterback, keep Davis Mills or trade for a veteran? I do not think the Niners can go into this season without making Trey Lance their starter. If they don’t they don’t have faith in the young gunslinger. It could hamper his growth.
