Brian Flores case is heating up, 2 new people are joining the lawsuit, and two new teams as well? Giants owner will NOT settle
John Mara is putting his foot down for now. He is reportedly not going to settle any lawsuit in regards to his hiring process. Brian Flores the former Dolphins head coach filed a class-action lawsuit that the Giants created a “sham interview” to fulfill the Rooney Rule to eventually hire Brian Daboll.
Mara says that is not true and he will not settle.
“I’m not settling,” Mara said, per Paul Schwartz of the New York Post. “Because the allegations are false. It was a fair process and we ended up making the decision we made based on a lot of factors, none of which had anything to do with race.”
Flores, filed a class-action lawsuit in early February alleging racial discrimination in the NFL. This case could be picking up steam though.
According to Pro Football Talk, two more plaintiffs will officially join the Flores lawsuit when Flores filed an amended complaint on April 8. Mike Florio claims two new coaches will be added to this list and two more teams will also be added to the case.
