Louisville star wide receiver Braden Smith arrested on domestic violence charges including assault and harassments

Braden Smith is a pretty amazing wide receiver from the University of Louisville. He was involved in a domestic violence incident this week that now leaves him suspended from the team indefinitely.

According to police reports, the police were called to an apartment complex, where someone said a couple was arguing.

When police arrived the alleged victim met them at her door. She claimed that she broke up with the star wide receiver a few days ago and he continued to harass her, by leaving notes on her car as well as long voice mail messages. She told police she asked him to leave her alone but he showed up at her apartment anyway.

The report says Smith grabbed her dragged her into her apartment and threw her out into the breezeway but she was only wearing a bra and shorts. She reportedly suffered cuts to her head, face, back and arms.

Smith finished the season last year for the Cardinals hauling in 11 receptions for 68 yards and 1 touchdown in just five games. In 2020, Smith had 370 yards receiving and was quite the receiver for Louisville. This is not great news for potential NFL receiver.
