Washington Redskins legend Charley Taylor passes away at the age of 80
Today, we lost a legend……
Charley Taylor, a Hall of Fame wide receiver who helped lead Washington to a Super Bowl appearance and several playoff berths, passed away on Feb. 19. He was 80.
Taylor was drafted 3rd overall by Washington in the 1964 NFL Draft, had a decorated 14-year career with the franchise. He was an eight-time Pro Bowler with a First-Team All-Pro selection in 1967.
He was part of the Hall of Fame’s All-1960s team, and he was selected as the AP and UPI Rookie of the Year in 1964. He was selected to the Hall of Fame in 1984.
