What sets you apart from other linebackers?

That I’m hardworking, I’m going to give everything I got every play, every snap and on and off the field.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I take them head on and understand what the challenges are. So when I tore my acls I took challenges head on and understood the process to get to the ultimate goal and destination.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

When I signed to at The University of Tulsa out of junior college and when I made my first tackle which was a TFL against Michigan State after returning to play after I tore my acl.

What should we know about Yohance Burnett the person?

That I am a very genuine person and always do the best for people and give everything I have and not cut corners and do the right thing to the best of my ability with the utmost respect.

How are you planning to prepare for the draft?

Well I’m just taking it day by day and each training session can improve you and this is a process that you have to get through and it takes time as well as being consistent.

What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

Preparation, focus and attitude which are all things that you can control to get to where you want.

What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I started playing football in little league at 6 years old. I just always remember having a football in my hand and always wanting to be apart of a team with your teammates which are like family.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Derrick Brooks, because I just feel like he was an all around football player and he could do it all whether it’s stopping the run or dropping back in coverage. Also had a great off the field presence.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I bring that energy that has a happy medium that’s about business but that also has fun while on the football field.

What would a team get in a player like you?

They would get someone who is consistent in what they do always looking to get better, coachable, and looking to elevate his teammates as well.

If there was a billboard with 5 of your traits on it which 5 traits would be up there?

Confidence, self-motivated, passion for the game, determined and coachable.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I’m looking to be one of the best at what I do in my profession most importantly. All while having fun on the football field.
