What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

Unity, beliefs, just being able to be accountable and have fun.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Just being able to have one team out of 32 take a chance on me and giving my friends and family and support system a chance to see me at a professional level.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Doug Williams and Steve McNair, honestly just because Doug Williams was the first african american quarterback to play at a high level I would just love to see how his integrity was and being able to see what he did. And Steve McNair I just want to see how he came from a small town guy in Mississippi and a FCS school and being able to be successful at a high level to see what he did.

What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Honestly I started off at 4 years old being with my childhood friends and my dad being a youth coach that just made me want to be around the game and the more I started to play the more I fell in love with the game.

What sets you apart from other quarterbacks?

I’m a WINNER!!! But I’m also a servant leader, I love being able to bring my teammates together and find a way to get the win. Through all the ups and downs throughout the game I’m even keeled no matter what is going on in the game or around me “I’m always staying neutral” both mentally and emotionally.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I just bring consistency and staying neutral both mentally and emotionally and bringing positive energy example: I tell my teammates we “get” to practice not “got” to practice.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I treat everything like the poem “Man in the Arena”. I try to look at every situation like the glass is half full not half empty.

What should we know about Keon Howard the person?

Someone who is a man of God, but also a great friend and somebody that loves to experience outdoors fishing and hunting and someone that likes to explore new things.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My freshman year at Southern Miss against LSU at LSU where there were 110,000 fans, my sophomore year playing at Tennessee and my senior year at Tennessee-Martin winning a conference championship with my brothers and coaches.

What would a team get in a player like you?

First and foremost a winner and a consistent and servant leader and a guy who is selfless and a guy who puts the team and organizations best interests first before my own personal interests.

What do you love about the game of football?

It teaches you life lessons and through the ups and downs and trials and tribulations of the game it sharpens your tools for the toolbox for life.

How are you planning to prepare for the draft?

Headed down to Atlanta to be with my quarterback coach Quincy Avery and taking it one day at a time waiting for an all star game, combine and my pro day.
