The Hula Bowl was a huge success. The game had over 170 scouts in attendance, including a representative from every NFL team, CFL team, the XFL and the USFL. There were some amazing players, but I thought it would be fun to showcase several players who really had a dominant week and really helped themselves.

At any All-Star game, you better be willing to jump up to the line and get as many reps you can. NFL teams love to watch players willing to put their body on the line and there were several players who really did a great job at separating themselves from the others. Let’s talk about those five players.

Andrew Ogletree, TE, Youngstown State – The small school tight end looked amazing. He is big, strong and made plays all the way throughout the week. Ogletree definitely improved his stock this past week. The Penguin tight end had a touchdown in the game, but throughout the week he was having great practices. He really raised his stock at the Hula Bowl.

Mike Harley, WR, Miami – The University of Miami wide out was at the line every time you turned around. There were several practices where he was jumping up to run routes two times in a row. He was constantly being held in practice and his speed is elite. Harley should definitely get another All-Star game invite, if he doesn’t, they are dropping the ball.

Jalen Virgil, WR, Appalachian State – The first day the kid had 10 plus interviews with NFL scouts. After his first practice he had to finish out the rest of the teams. He is so damn fast and athletic. I know not all players on the Freak List by the Athletic can play the game of football, some are just testers, but this kid is not that guy. He is a football player and he is going to make some NFL team look smart.

Charles Williams, RB, UNLV – I could have easily put several running backs up here but I wanted to give this kid a huge shoutout. He had a huge week and a monster play in the game. The Chuck Wagon is a beast and he really had a great week. I love the kid.

A.J. Arcuri, OT, Michigan State – Arcuri is one of the prettiest looking offensive linemen in the draft. He looks like an offensive tackle. Arcuri is a star in the making, the Michigan State standout already received an invite to the NFLPA game. He will be playing on Sunday’s!
