Shorter University head football coach Zach Morrison posted the following on his social media page Wednesday:
“Heaven gained an angel today. Saddened by the loss of Josey Sargent who passed from a tragic car accident this morning. Josey brought so much joy to the Shorter Football program, but also the world! I still remember him and his family coming to my office just asking for an opportunity and he took every opportunity to show he belong and worked his tail off. He was one of the most dependable student-athletes we had here at Shorter! Coaches, teammates, and the University will miss him dearly! I am asking everyone to pray for his family.”
Please keep the Sargent family in your prayers during this tough time.
