How are you planning on preparing for the draft?

  • I am going to do a combine style training along with position specific drills to help my craft and display my athleticism for all the evaluators.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

  • My favorite moments are proving my doubters wrong and playing in big time games.

What sets you apart from other defensive backs?

  • My speed, instinct, coverage skills and most of all my mindset on tackling. As a corner you don’t see a lot of them wanting to tackle. I love physical contact. That is what sets me apart from other cornerbacks.

What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

  • As far as a defensive back I feel it’s assignment, alignment, and annihilate. You go out there and execute on those three things you will be fine.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

  • Patrick Peterson. The reason is because he’s always been my favorite player since I was in middle school. I love his work ethic and I would always try to mimic his game.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

  • My game brings the energy and that’s just aggressive and feisty. Don’t get me wrong also bring the dog out of my teammates.

What do you love about the game of football?

  • I love everything about football, the players, the brotherhood, the game, and support. There isn’t one thing I can say I hate about football.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

  • I handle both challenges relax, try to figure out what is going on, and stick things through.

What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

  • To be honest me being from Miami the only sport to play is football so seeing all my friends and cousins play football that is what inspired me to play.

What would a team get in a player like you?

  • A team would be getting a humble, outgoing, hardworking, all around athlete who loves the game of football.

What are you hoping to achieve as a football player going forward?

  • To make to the NFL somehow, someway and become one of the greatest.

What should we know about Brandon Shuman the person?

  • I am a Miami kid who always had the dream of playing in the NFL and is going to do whatever it takes to make that come true.
