First it was Odell Beckham Jr.’s father and now it is the Cleveland fanbase. No one has been very impressed with Baker Mayfield’s performance this year. He has not looked very good this year, and to be honest he was getting booed yesterday when they were playing the worst team in the NFL.
The Lions with a back-up quarterback had the Browns on the ropes and damn near beat them. While the Browns barely got passed the Lions, Mayfield had one of the worst games of his young NFL career.
Baker was asked about his performance and took at shot at the fans.
“Those are probably the same fans that won’t be quiet while we’re on offense and trying to operate, so don’t really care,” Mayfield said, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
Mayfield didn’t acknowledge any teammates, opponents or fans on his way to the locker room after Sunday’s game. He told reporters on Monday that he was “just frustrated.”
