1.What are your favorite things about playing football for Tabor?

My favorite things would have to be playing for my head coach and OC. They are really good guys and really care about the athletes on and off the field. Obviously, love playing with my teammates we really built a strong bond.

2.What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I feel I bring a very high energy on the field, usually when people talk about the way I run, they say aggressive and exciting. So I think with the way I play I can get the team going a little bit more.

3.What sets you apart from other running backs?

I think I have a lot of characteristics that set me apart that involve hard working, discipline, and persistence. However, the main thing I believe sets me apart is my attitude. Just having a good attitude when I need for the team to or being competitive.

4.How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I like to say I welcome challenges, I welcome adversity because it’s inevitable, you can’t run from it, so just keeping my head up and stay grinding would be the main step for me. If you know my college career you can see I’ve dealt with a lot of adversity and I have bounced back better and more knowledgeable.

5.If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

If I could hang out with any player I would have to choose either Tom Brady or Christian McCaffrey. I say Tom Brady just because he’s been the best for so long and it’s almost like he has the keys to winning , but to pick his brain and learn what he has to say I think would be very knowledgeable just in life and the game. Or I would choose McCaffrey because he’s from Colorado and it seems like he’s gone through a lot of adversity these past few years, going from one of the top running backs to not being able to play that has to be tough and I would like to hear what he has to say about those things, how he’s dealt with his adversity.

6.What is your typical training routine?

So depending on whether I’m in season or out of season my workout schedule differs. But as of right now I wake up around 7 AM do some sort of sprint and agility and then I hit a lift which includes all muscle groups throughout the week. Then run some routes. Like I said this all depends on if I’m in season or out. And when practice is and what not.

7.What should we know about Andre Renteria the person?

What you should know about me is that I value God, family, and football. In that order. I’m bless for the opportunity God has presented for me and I am passionate about continuing my football career at the next level.

8.What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite memories date back to my first varsity start in high school, leading to my first college TD at my JUCO, throwing a TD pass this season.

9.What do you love about the game of football?

Man the game, it’s given me and so many people so much! I love the competition, the ups and downs, and adversity of this game. I feel football relates so much to life in general! That’s why I love the game so much.

10.What would a team get in a player like you?

Someone motivated to give everything I have everyday.

11.What is a moment that improved you as a football player?

I’d have to say the moments from leaving my JUCO and then leaving Black Hills.

12.What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

It was a decision I made when I was a child, I knew I wanted to. Growing older grew my love for the game and showed me I truly did want to be a football player for as long as I could.
