Hello Justin Berendzen (@jrberendzen on Twitter) here I will showcase my top 3 matchups in NAIA.
1.Kansas Wesleyan University at Avila University (October 9th)
Kansas Wesleyan might be one of the best teams in the NAIA with both a good defense and offense. The defense will definitely be tested this weekend against a good offensive team in Avila. Avila has a really good running back in senior Malik Nesbitt who has rushed for 559 yards and 11 touchdowns this season so far. In Nesbitt’s way for Kansas Wesleyan will be junior defensive lineman Cole Parker who has 5.5 sacks, 24 tackles and 1 forced fumble on the season so far. On the offensive side for Kansas Wesleyan they have one of the top quarterbacks in the NAIA in junior Isaiah Randalle who has thrown for 1,605 passing yards and 23 touchdowns, 10 of which has gone to there top senior receiver Stevie Williams. Could end up with alot of offense in this game.
2.Bethel(KS) College at Southwestern College (October 9th)
Another matchup between 2 top 25 ranked teams. Bethel(KS) has a good defense while Southwestern has a good offense. The Threshers defense is led by senior linebacker Josh Seabolt who has 42 tackles, 5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles to this point in the season. On the offensive side for Southwestern you have to watch out for junior wide receiver Keyshawn Jones who has 507 recieving yards and 7 touchdowns and senior quarterback Luke Barnes has 1,486 passing yards and thrown for 15 touchdowns so far.
3.Marian University at Indiana Wesleyan University (October 9th)
In this matchup I think we find out how good these 2 teams actually are. Marian offensively is led by freshman running back Daylen Taylor who has 532 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns. Indiana Wesleyan has 2 weapons everyone should know about on offense starting with big senior wide receiver Brayden Smith who has 336 recieving yards and 2 touchdowns and at running back senior Devodney Alford has 297 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns. I think that if you want offense this game will have plenty of it.
