Martellus Bennett says Packers fans sent him death threats for protesting the National Anthem
Last night on Twitter, Martellus Bennett went in on the Green Bay Packers organization. I mean he was calling staff out by name, claiming he was cut because of his protests.
Bennett reportedly received death threats and other “hateful messages” when protesting the National Anthem back in 2017.
Bennett, 34, posted a number of tweets on Saturday expressing his belief he was cut because of the anthem protests.
And from this tweet it spiraled into a much bigger issue.
It continues to sound like the Packers have problems much bigger than Aaron Rodgers contract situation. This is pretty interesting. I wonder how the NFL will handle these allegations.
