How was this kid not getting the ball for Oklahoma State? Jelani Woods has turned into one of the top-rated tight ends in the country.
The 6’7 pass-catcher has had a huge impact in the 2021 season and is doing more this year than he has in the three previous college seasons at Oklahoma State.
In three seasons at Oklahoma State, prior to transferring to Virginia, Woods finished with 31 catches, 361 yards, four touchdowns, and 11.6 yards per catch.
The 6’7, 265-pound tight end from Ellenwood, Georgia has been tearing it up. He currently has 257 yards receiving and 18 receptions. He has hauled in four touchdowns this year as well.
Woods has caught all our attention this year. He is continuing to dominate, and I would not be surprised if teams fell in love with his size and ability to catch the ball. He could be a red-zone nightmare.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:
Jelani Woods is the most underrated tight end in the nation. He has shown week in and week out why he should have been getting the ball more at Oklahoma State. I am not sure what the Cowboys were doing, but the Cavaliers have the right idea. Feed your tight end, because the kid has a ton of God-given natural talent. He is impressive and I would not be shocked if he hears his name called in the 2022 NFL Draft. – Damond Talbot, Owner, NFL Draft Diamonds
