The Dallas Cowboys tried to trade Jaylon Smith and could not find a suitor so they are planning to cut him tomorrow.
This could spark a trade before he is officially cut. I could see a team like Denver taking a shot on the former Notre Dame linebacker.
Smith is owed the remainder of his $7.2 million base salary this year. Jerry Jones spoke with Smith today about the decision.
Smith is actually having a pretty solid season. With the Cowboys making this move they could try to still trade him tomorrow but his salary cap hit could be too much for a team to deal.
Jaylon Smith will have a team soon, I would not be shocked if a team like Detroit took a flier as well.
