Everything that has happened and is happening with named individuals who either are employed in the NFL or who were formerly employed within the NFL, is surrounded by “the 650,000 emails” allegedly written and exchanged.
What if the alleged content of the emails is not the real story?
What if the NFL not disclosing all 650,000 emails is not the real story?
What if the real story is not who leaked the emails?
What if the real story is the validity of the emails?
This picture of an alleged email is floating around on social media. First, let me start by saying anyone with a computer could easily produce a document like this using a template. Anyone could create a whole string of imaginary emails between high profile individuals and then send it to The NY Times, who then ethically reported based on having the emails in their possession.
Second, anyone can send anyone an email. I could send an email right now to Joe Biden from my iPhone and send him anything damning imaginable. Does that then somehow implicate President Biden with the content I sent him because he is now in “possession” of it?
The real question here surrounding the 650,000 NFL emails that have cost Jon Gruden his job and are implicating several other league current or former high ranking people is really – – are the emails that are being leaked to The NY Times actually being verified as being authentic?
Has there been an independent forensic technological study done to verify the actual emails of the “alleged content” that is ruining or threatening to ruin people’s lives and careers?
Has there been scientific study of the IP addresses involved to verify these alleged emails were actually exchanged between the individuals being named?
How do we know for sure a hacker is not involved?
I was hired to work on the premiere information-gathering organization in the NFL, back when I worked with the NY Jets. Information gathering was the cornerstone of the operation. A big part of my job duties in the pro scouting department for my first two years as a pro personnel assistant centered around the process of information gathering. I worked on staff with Bill Parcells and Bill Belichick. The saying around the building was “We are in the information gathering business.”
That is where I am coming from on this one. I am going deeper than the alleged content or even the source of the alleged content.
Has the actual alleged content actually been verified or is this all just really fake news?
