Ohio State linebacker K’Vaughan Pope quit in the middle of the game, and today he was dismissed

Could you imagine quitting on your team? Ohio State linebacker K’Vaughan Pope has been dismissed from the team after quitting.

Could you imagine quitting on your team in the middle of a game? I mean the only other time I have ever noticed that was when Buffalo Bills cornerback Vontae Davis.

Buffalo Bills cornerback Vontae Davis abruptly retired at halftime of Sunday’s 31-20 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, saying in a statement later that the reality had hit him: “I shouldn’t be out there anymore.”

That is not the case here however, Pope was in a heated exchange with the Ohio State coaching staff on the sideline and he just quit.

Pope said he let his emotions get the best of him, but his actions have now kicked him off the team.

His head coach Ryan Day said K’Vaughan has been dismissed from the team.

“K’Vaughan will continue to have the use of programs that benefit our student-athletes, such as our Student-Athlete Support Services Office, and we will support him with his progress toward graduation,” Day’s statement reads. “He will remain on scholarship through the duration of this semester.”

Pretty wild to say the least.
