15-year old Chicago High School football player shot and killed at a shopping plaza blocks from his school

Just a few hours ago, a 15-year old Chicago High School Football player was shot and killed outside a shopping center.

Police are reporting that the 15 year old was standing a shopping centre when a vehicle pulled up and began fired shots and killed a teeanager.

According to police, the 15-year-old male was standing at a shopping plaza in the 8300 block of South Holland Road around 2:30 p.m. when a vehicle approached. A person inside a black vehicle fired shots and the teen was struck in the chest.

The fire department was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was a junior varsity football player whose name was not mentioned.

Police say they believe 13 to 15 shots were fired.
