Will Cam Newton be the next Colin Kaepernick? He speaks out about his release and it could get ugly

Cam newton Colin Kaepernick Patriots biggest surprises
Cam Newton spoke out about the Patriots but will he end up blackballed by the NFL for speaking out about being cut?

Cam Newton throws some spears this morning when a YouTube Live video called Funky Friday with his Father Cecil Newton.

Newton talked about his release with the Patriots, including his final days with the team. Newton believes he would have been released by the team whether he missed time from COVID-19 or not.

“Do I think this would have happened without me being away for five days? Honestly, yes,” Newton said. “It was gonna happen. Did it help ease the decision? Yes.”

“The reason they released me is because, indirectly, I was going to be a distraction without being the starter,” Newton said. “Just my aura. . . . That’s my gift and my curse. When you bring a Cam Newton to your facility, when you bring a Cam Newton to your franchise, people are interested.”

It is interesting, but with him going viral to make the announcement, I wonder if he will be blackballed by the league.

Cam said he was held out for 5 days, and he made sure the Patriots were aware of his doctor visit who diagnosed his Lisfranc injury several years ago. That is why he had to sit out for five days, but the Patriots reportedly cleared him.

“I crossed all the lines, I checked all the boxes, I dotted all my i’s. Then to find out I had to sit out, that’s when I kinda felt bamboozled, because y’all told me to go,” Newton said.

You cannot tell me Cam Newton is not better than 25 back-ups in the NFL? I am not sure this was the right away to answer the questions, because the Patriots hate when you leak anything they do. I would be shocked if Cam gets another shot.
