The NFL preseason is here, but the regular season is right around the corner. I am so excited this year because football is back and so are the fans!

NFL odds are live for 15 of 16 Week 1 games of the 2021 NFL season on Draftkings and all other major sites. The San Francisco 49ers are the heaviest favorites vs Detroit; In an AFC Divisional playoff rematch, the Browns vs Chiefs game has the highest total at 53. You can find out more in this overview of Draftkings sportsbook, that includes the latest bonuses and deposit details for new and existing players.

I wanted to talk about five predictions for the upcoming season, and some of these may be a shocker, while others may be predictable.

5.) Steelers have the top-ranked defense – The Pittsburgh Steelers defense is going to be nasty in 2021. T.J. Watt is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, but he will not be denied in 2021. Watt and company put the Steelers back on the top of their division. Adding Melvin Ingram was a huge boost in stopping the run. The Steelers finish the season allowing the lowest points of any team in the league. Mike Tomlin and the boys are back on top in the AFC North.

4.) Deshaun Watson does not take one snap all season – The legal troubles of Deshaun Watson are not pretty and the Texans are at a stand still right now with their franchise quarterback. The team recently posted their depth chart and Watson is four on the list behind Tyrod Taylor, Jeff Driskel, and rookie Davis Mills are all listed over Watson. I do not think Watson is going to play at all this year, and if a team trades for him, I do not think he plays for them either with his legal trouble.

3.) Raiders rookie Alex Leatherwood makes Pro Bowl – The Raiders fans were really upset when Leatherwood was drafted, but he shows out this year when Josh Jacobs rumbles for 1800 yards on the ground. Leatherwood is one of the main reasons, and earns a Pro Bowl bid as a rookie. He is one of a handful of rookies that plays in every game and takes almost every snap.

2.) Fans cause quarterbacks to struggle in 2021 – You are probably not understanding this one, so let me break it down. This year you will see a lot more mistakes than you did last year. Fans will cause quarterbacks to have to change out of plays and not be able to focus as much as they were able to last season with no fans. When you can think and hear everything you can change the play quickly. When you cannot hear it makes a big difference. Quarterbacks will struggle big time.

1.) NOT ONE NFL GAME WILL BE CANCELLED DUE TO COVID – Many think the NFL would cancel a game but there is no way the NFL will cancel a game. The NFL goes as planned, and they don’t miss a dollar in advertisment money.
