Kansas Jayhawks football player arrested on suspicion of battery and kidnapping
Alonso Person a redshirt freshman linebacker has been suspended indefinitely after he was arrested Thursday on suspicion of domestic battery and kidnapping.
Person is a big kid at 6’3 linebacker prospect from Harbor City, California is being held without bond.
Head Coach Lance Leipold released this statement:
“Any allegations of this magnitude are not taken lightly,” Leipold said, “and we will continue to gather the facts to determine the next appropriate steps.”
The details of the allegations are not yet available, but this could be a huge blow for the young standout football player who had offers from multiple schools before picking Kansas.
