Alonte Shipp was a very promising football player who was a running back at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York.
The former high school standout had dreams of one day playing in the NFL. That all changed on Monday, when Shipp, 20, was gunned down and killed around 4:40 am at his Wyandanch home.
His former High School Principal Paul Sibblies posted this on Facebook.
“Here is a young man that has been through so much but overcame it all to attend college. His desire was to prove people wrong about his character. Alonte Shipp will forever mean something to me,” Sibblies wrote in a Facebook post.
A Go Fund Me page has been set up for Alonte Shipp’s family.
We at NFL Draft Diamonds would like to send our prayers to the Shipp family. In honor of Alonte we wanted to share some of his high school highlights. The kid was talented. Rest in Peace.
