1.What sets you apart from other offensive linemen?

What sets me apart from other offensive linemen is my mental understanding of the game and my endless motor to finish the block every play.

2. What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

What made me want to be a football player has always been the things that come with playing like being a part of a team and all working towards one goal. When you get to put in all the work on and off the field and are able to translate it to success there is no better feeling.

3. How do you prepare for games?

I prepare for games by reviewing film and going over my technique. I always like to preserve energy before a game because once that whistle goes there’s no slowing down!

4. What are your favorite things about playing football for Brockport?

Playing for Brockport has been such a pleasure and such a great experience being able to play for a top program in Division 3. Being able to play and learn from Coach Potter and Coach Mangone has made me grow so much as an athlete and as a man. Another favorite thing about Brockport is my teammates. I talk on the phone with a few of them multiple times a week just going on and on about the team and our goals.

5. What past or present NFL coach would you want to learn from the most and why?

One coach I would want to learn from is Andy Reid. Coach Reid’s knowledge of football is up there with any of the greats and really knows how to get the best production out of his players.

6. What is your favorite workout?

My favorite workout is bench press. After recently hitting a new personal best of 485 all I can think of is hitting that 500 marks.

7. What should people know about Luke Lodini the person?

What people should know about Luke Lodini is that I am a fearless competitor and a great teammate.

8. What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

The energy I bring to the field is confidence and leadership.

9. What are your favorite moments from your football life?

One of my favorite moments of my football life is definitely winning my first Empire 8 championship. Also getting to play with all the talented teammates I have had over the years at Stony Brook and Brockport and witnessing all their success has been awesome to be a part of.

10. What would a team get in a player like you?

What a team would get in a player like me is someone who is ready to work. From the playbook to the weight room to the field, I am ready to be coached and play ball.

11. How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

The way I handle challenges in life and on the field are the same way. I face them head-on and am ready to adjust and react.

12. What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I am looking forward to so much this upcoming season. We have a great group of lineman coming back along with new ones joining us, all with one goal of being the best. As a team we have had so much time off and have all been grinding and looking forward to competing in week 1. I am ready to take the next step as a player and leader this year and really bring my game up another level.
