NFL Draft Diamonds Free Agent Interview: Isaiah Banks, Fullback

Isaiah Banks Free Agent interview
Free Agent fullback Isaiah Banks recently sat down with NFL Draft Diamonds writer Justin Berendzen. Check it out.

Hello, I am @jrberendzen on Twitter and this is one of my free agent interviews where I ask very deserving free agents questions about the players themselves and about what a team would get in these players. All of these players should get picked up by NFL, CFL  and XFL teams and get a shot at being a career football player. So I hope you all read this interview and follow Isaiah Banks journey on Instagram @81stzae__

1. What are hoping to achieve as a football player going forward?

I’m hoping to achieve my goals I set out. One of them would be getting to the NFL that’s definitely something I would love to achieve down the road.

2. What sets you apart from other RBs?

I’m a workhorse. I like to do the dirty work that comes with the position Whether it be blocking or catching out the backfield. I think that’s what set’s me apart from other RB’s.

3. What should we know about Isaiah Banks the person?

I’m a very family oriented guy. There’s nothing I won’t do for my family. I’m kind, compassionate, I always put others before myself whether it be a teammate, family member, friend etc. Always looking out to lend a hand to those in need.

4. How do you prepare for games?

I prepare by eating a light breakfast in the morning usually consist of a smoothie and 2 granola bars. I’ll take a shower in the morning to clear my mind and envision me making plays on the field. After all of that I like to put on my favorite playlist stretch and get a massage.

5. What are your favorite moments from your football life?

One of my favorite moments from my football life was when I scored my first touchdown in High School. And when I won the character award my senior year.

6. If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

CJ Anderson. I would hang out with him because we have similar hobbies and interest. I can pick his brain and see what and how he thinks in certain game situations.

7. What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I didn’t really decide on being a football player. I already knew that’s what I wanted to do and it was the only thing that really brought me happiness when I grew up.

8. What is a moment that improved you as a football player?

When I started to take advice from other pro players and training with them really improved how I reacted in certain situations.

9. What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I like to bring positive energy and passion. A lot of guys face a lot of off the field issues and the one place they may find peace is playing football. So I try not to bring anything less than that.

10.What would a team get in a player like you?

Definitely a hard worker, consistent player. A player willing to do the dirty work.

11. What do you love about the game of football?

I love being around guys that have the same passion and desire as me. I love how football builds a young man’s character, playing for one another, how football builds bonds and friendships that last for years.

12. What is a skill that you have that you think translates into the NFL well?

How I handle adversity.
