Former High School football player Andre Hutchinas killed over a spilled beer in Florida
You cannot make this up, I am just hearing about this story now. Back on 1st of this month, a local Florida high school held a vigil for a 19 year old former high school football player Andre Hutchinas.
Hutchinas played football at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, and Melbourne Central Catholic and Melbourne High School in the Orlando area. According to police reports, Hutchinas was trying to de-escalate an argument over a spilled beer when he was shot and killed.
According to the report, 26 year old Gregory Barr II got into an argument after a drink was spilled on him. Hutchinas walked in between the two men to de-esclate the situation when Barr pulled out a knife and tried to stab him.
The report says Hutchinas avoided being hit with the knife and punched Barr in self-defense. That is when Barr pulled out a gun and shot him in the neck. Barr then threatened everyone else and left the scene.
Barr is facing second degree murder charges. Hundreds of family and friends showed up to Melbourne High School for the vigil of the young football player. Please pray for the Hutchinas family.
