Houston Texans are struggling to sell season tickets, I wonder why?

Deshaun Watson NFL Texans nfl draft
The entire Texans franchise is currently in shambles. Are they struggling to sell season tickets as well? It sure sounds like it.

The Houston Texans had a waiting list of 12,734 people ahead of Jerome Solomon of the Houston Chronicle, to buy season tickets and guess what. He is now eligible to buy season tickets.

Solomon however, like many others did not accept the opportunity to become a season ticket holder.

“Hell would freeze over before I’d spend a nickel on Texans tickets this year,” Solomon explains. But he doesn’t blame the current players, the team, or Deshaun Watson‘s legal issues for the predicament.

“The ineptitude starts at the top,” Solomon writes. “That is why I couldn’t find a reason to justify spending on tickets.”

I personally feel the Texans fan base is upset and should be upset. What is the team and ownership doing? The entire Deshaun Watson story is crazy, the team signed a ton of players, but let a player like DeAndre Hopkins go for little to nothing. The Texans fanbase should be pissed. I know I would be, but to go from 12,734 to the being eligible means there are at least 12k fans who are not happy with you.

That is a lot of people when you consider a football stadium holds anywhere from 70k to 120k. Man, they better find a way to do something quickly before they are the next team being talked about moving.
