Jemaris Jarmel Leek Jr. is the second Everett High School football player to be shot and killed this week. First it was Marshawn Beard and now Leek Jr.

Jemaris Leek Jr, of Lansing was found injured from a gunshot wound on Wednesday, according to a police report.

This is the third teenager killed in a homicide this week in Lansing, Michigan. The wild thing, is it is the second high school football player killed.

Leek Jr. played high school football at Everett High School, and makes him the second player to be killed this week from Everett High.

Marshawn Beard, the former star football player at Everett High School (16) was gunned down on Monday in downtown Lansing.

Police are desperately looking for any help. Anyone with information about Wednesday’s homicide is asked to call Lansing police at 483-4600, Detective Ellen Larson at 483-6817 or CrimeStoppers at 483-7867. They can also send a private message through the department’s Facebook page.
