Division 2 College Football player Makhi Buckly shot and killed in broad daylight in Connecticut

Makhi Buckly, a 19 year old Division 2 football player at American International College was shot and killed in Connecticut in broad day light on Monday.

According to police report, Buckly was shot in the torso around 3:45 pm outside of 152 Amherst Street. He was rushed to the Hartford Hospital where he would be pronounced dead.

This is only the third shooting death of a teenager in Hartford this year.

The crazy thing is, Buckley’s grandfather Carl Hardrick, is a very well-known man in Hartford for his work with youth. Hardrick, who’s spent 60 years as a youth development leader and anti-violence community activist, helped raise Buckly, according to the Hartford Courant.

American International College’s coach Kris Kulzer posted this on his social media.

Please keep the Buckly family in your prayers.
