Talk about your experience as a student. What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?

My experience as a student here at EMU was great. I got to meet a lot of people I will never forget. My major is communication and my minor is management. No I didn’t participate in anything else outside of football.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?

I’m a very physical player, and I can get others going by the way that I play the game. I am a discipline player that does what I’m supposed to do when I have to. I’m also clutch, and I don’t run away from big moments.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team?

I see myself as a leader that can help younger guys on our team be successful. I help build the players that the coaches want in the program become impacting young men.

What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?

Nickel position best fits my skill set because of the type of player I am. I can cover, and I’m also physical enough to be in the box against tight ends.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?

The best player I have played against in college would be Lynn Bolden from Kentucky. He did everything there and was a great player for their program.

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?

The teammate that impressed me the most would be Tanner Knue. When I first got to EMU he was on the scout team and worked consistently hard everyday. The following season after that, he was one of our leading receivers. It’s impressive because he does it effortlessly.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.

A time in my life I had to overcome a struggle was when I made the decision to go to junior college. It was depressing but the right decision at the end of the day. I went to junior college in Kansas. I had to do everything on my own. I had to find a way to get money so I became a barber. I had to make a way to get my own food and also find a way to get eligible to go division 1.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?

If I didn’t play football I would probably play basketball. I enjoy the game a lot and like getting buckets. I was a hooper at heart when I was in middle school.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?

I am most proud of myself for not giving up after my freshman year of college. I thought about quitting, yet I would never have graduated college. But I have since graduated and also have been a successful player in the EMU program.

My biggest achievement is getting my degree from college. I will have that for the rest of my life.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.

The most memorable play I made was in 2019 at Toledo. I think we were down 31-10. We came back and tied the game. I was put into the game because a safety got hurt. I made a big time forced fumble to give us a chance to win the game with 1 min left.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?

My favorite athlete right now is Tyrann Mathieu. I model my game after him because I love his mindset. He wants to dominate all the time, and he doesn’t care who steps in front of him.

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?

I will go with Lil baby and my brother Li Kev. I can play their music before a game, and I know it will get me going.

What is your favorite comfort food?

My favorite would be seafood gumbo. I like all of the crab, shrimp and all of the seafood that goes with it. Being from Louisiana I think that would be everyone’s top choice.

Do you have a favorite movie, TV show or actor?

My favorite movie would be Stomp the Yard. I used to try to mimic all of their dance moves and act like I was in the movie when I was a kid .

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?

In my spare time I cut hair and play video games. I enjoy watching YouTube videos learning how to cut or finding ways to get better at it

Why do you play football? Who or what motivates you the most?

I play football because it kept me away from the bad things when I was younger. I always wanted to play sports instead of doing the wrong things. Football has taught me so much more than just being a football player. My mom and sisters are also reasons why I do it because I want to get them a house some day.
