Two Alabama High School football teammates killed in a car crash

Two Alabama high school football players were killed in a car accident this week when the car they were in struck a tree.

Javion Brown and Derrick “DJ” Wiggins, Jr. both played football for R.A. Hubbard High School. Both the young football players with dreams of playing football at the next level.

Both of the young men died after their car left the roadway on Alabama 33 near Lawrence County Road 249, and struck a tree.

According to the police report, the two men were in a mustang when the car went off the road.

The two student athletes were good young men who always smiled according tot heir football coach Mac Hampton. both were looking forward to the upcoming season.

The school canceled all school-related activities following the tragedy, and made grief counselors available.
