The Dallas Cowboys are making a very intelligent move this week. We are learning that the Cowboys have invited former James Madison standout Rashad Robinson to their mini camp.

Rashad Robinson is one of the best unsigned cornerbacks in the entire country. I am going to say that, and I am not just pounding the table for this kid, I trust my eye. The Dukes graduate had an amazing career, where he finished third all time in interceptions for JMU. He had 13 career interceptions, but had bad luck because of COVID.

During his senior season the captain recorded 52 tackles along with 4.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, three interceptions and 11 pass breakups. He leaves the Dukes tied for third all-time with 13 career interceptions. Robinson finished his collegiate career with 155 total tackles and 39 passes defended.

Robinson played his senior season with an injury and then was hoping for a huge pro day, but it was cancelled due to COVID. Rashad Robinson served as team captain guiding JMU to the FCS National Championship Game in 2019. The two-time All CAA and former FCS All American is a physical defender ready for the NFL.

JMU did not have a pro day. So Rashad had to patiently wait for an opportunity. He would go to the Spring League last year and led the league with 3 interceptions. Robinson has earned an opportunity for this workout, and I feel he had a fifth round ground coming out of college, so the Cowboys could strike gold with this kid.
