1.What are your favorite things about playing football for Monmouth?

Some of my favorite things about playing for Monmouth is the fact that we have a tight brotherhood and bond here. I know that the man next to me has my back no matter what because of how tight knit of a group we have here. The coaching staff is also awesome because they really care about you on and off the field.

2.If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Hands down Marshawn Lynch. He just seems like a really genuine dude and would drop a lot of gems for me to learn from, not even just about how it is to play in the NFL but just life in general.

3.What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I just like to fly around out there man, I love hyping my team up whenever they make huge plays and I’m gonna make sure whoever lines up across from me feels my presence and that I’m going to come at them every chance I get.

4.What is your favorite workout?

Squats honestly, legs are to me the most important part of being a defensive end because you need that strength and explosion on every play.

5.What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Traveling with my team. I get to see so many cool places, stay in nice hotels and just hang out with my teammates. And then of course it’s game day, you work so hard throughout the year to finally get paid on game day.

6.What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. No matter how good you are you gotta come out everyday wanting to get better than every body else. It all comes down to heart.

7.Rank focus, footwork and skill based on what is most important to you as a football player?

Focus first, skill second, footwork third although I would think footwork is a component of skill.

8.What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Other than boxing, this was the only sport where I can beat the hell out of the guy across from me without any repercussions. I was just too aggressive for other sports.

9.What is your mindset when you are on the football field?

Controlled chaos. Every time I’m on the field I just need to focus on doing my job at the highest level I can and trust my teammates to do theirs. And keep a next play mentality if any mistakes are to happen.

10.What would a team get in a player like you?

Someone who is going to not just show up but attack work everyday and is willing to grind for whatever it is they need of me to help the team.

11.What is a moment that improved you as a football player?

Going to the national playoffs the first time two years ago did so much for me because it gave me the opportunity to battle with some of the best of the best players /teams in the country and allowed me to see where I stack up against them.

12.What sets you apart from other defensive linemen?

My versatility on the defensive line. My pass rush skills allow me to play any spot on the defensive line and rush the qb effectively. I’ve played at the 5, 3 and 1 tech throughout my time at Monmouth.
