Former standout Texas football player Evan McMaryion arrested for capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
Evan McMaryion was a dog on the football field. The standout wide receiver from Lee High School was arrested and charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Just last year, McMaryion was playing wide out for the Rebels.
According to Focus Daily News:
Last weekend while waiting in his 2008 Mazda 3 at the gate of a residence in the 300 block of South Elerson Drive, Randall Thornhill, a 34-year-old resident of Midlothian, TX was shot and killed. Passenger, Heather French, 29, was also injured in the shooting. Less than a week later, DeSoto Police announced they have a suspect in custody.
It is really sad because when you pull up Evan’s film he was a player. A solid player with great hands and playmaking ability. McMaryion is likely facing Life in Prison if found guilty of the crime. This is horrible when you see a star athlete throw away his life for a stupid act.
Here is a GoFundMe for the family affected.
