2022 NFL Draft Prospect: Drew Seers, LB, Lindenwood University

Drew Seers
Lindenwood University linebacker Drew Seers is a beast at the D2 level. He has NFL potential written all over him. Remember his name!

You better get to know his name quickly. Drew Seers is a first team All-American linebacker who set multiple school records already for the Lindenwood Lions.

The 6’1 linebacker is one of the best linebackers in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft. He racked up 175 tackles in one season at Lindenwood. He has 337 tackles in his career, and I would expect him to have another huge season in 2021. Seers plays sidelines to sidelines and has accumulated 34 tackles for loss and 2 career sacks.

Seers is going to be playing in the NFL. He is one of the top inside linebacker prospects this year. The same school that produced Pierre Desir is back again, and I would not be shocked if they had another draft pick in Seers. In high school, Seers was a very solid linebacker but he was also a punter! Yes, you read that correctly, he finished as a first team All-Conference punter in high school. He has been a tackling machine since high school.

This year I would not be shocked if Seers breaks his 175 tackle mark. Seers is just 9 tackles shy of Lindenwood record-holder Connor Harris who went on to play for the New York Jets.

We recently sat down with Drew Seers for an interview, and Seers told our very own Justin Berendzen, that he is a passionate player and someone you can trust. He said he works hard, and will always be there for his teammates. This is the type of leadership you should be looking for when you are looking for an inside backer. I love this kid and his film!

NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:

Just go ahead and start penciling in Drew Seers names to Mock Drafts. The Division 2 prospect is going to tear it up in 2021 and I would not be shocked if he ends up winning the Cliff Harris Award for the best small school Defensive Player of the Year. Pierre Desir was the first player to ever win the Award. Connor Harris also won the award so to see another Lion win the award would be pretty cool. The wild thing is every player who ever won the award ended up going on to the NFL and playing. So Cliff if you are reading this, I found my vote getter! – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
