Mother of star high school football player Donta Whack Jr. killed in a hit-and-run accident in Florida
Donta Whack Jr. is one of the best running backs in the state of Florida, and he now dealing with one of the hardest hits of his young life.
His Mother, 39 year old Katrina Redden was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday night. Police received 911 calls about a pedestrian struck by a vehicle about 11:45 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Country Club Road and Lake Mary Avenue. Mrs. Redden would be rushed to the hospital to sucumb to her injuries.
Police identified the body of a victim of a hit-and-run incident Tuesday as that of 39-year-old Katrina Redden, the mother of Sanford Seminole running back Donta Whack Jr.
Seminole football coach Eric Lodge tweeted a message to Whack Jr., Tuesday evening:
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Whack Jr. is the No. 36-ranked player in Central Florida and currently has three Football Bowl Subdivision scholarship offers from UAB, Eastern Michigan, and Western Kentucky.
