1.What sets you apart from other Edge rushers?

I would say the things that sets me apart is I have a fast-twitch, my first step is very quick, I’m very athletic I can play defensive linemen or linebacker, I am very relentless, and don’t shy away from contact, and can be physical. The stuff that makes me effective is an efficient run stopper and pass rusher and getting more tackles and I also have the ability to get back in coverage and play special teams.

2.What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

Football teaches valuable lessons and teamwork that apply both on and off the field. Each player contributes to the success of the team, understanding and trusting your teammates is crucial with so many players on the team the level of coordination and collaboration has to be strong. If even one teammate is not invested it can affect the entire team.

3.What is a moment that improved you as a football player?

To be honest it’s probably becoming a husband and father. Definitely made me a better football player because it’s not just about me but my family and it is my motivation to work harder and play harder.

4.What is your favorite workout?

To be honest with you I don’t have a favorite workout I just workout full body.

5.How do you prepare for games?

So usually gamedays I’m a candy guy so I have sour airheads and then I listen to Afrobeats and Nigerian music it gets me all dialed in and calmed down and lets me focus on my responsibilities.

6.If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I would have to say TJ Watt because he and I play the same position and his game mimics mine and I would like to pick his brain to learn more about the game because there is always room for improvement in the game of football.

7.What are your biggest traits on the football field?

My most important trait is my edge-bending ability and flexibility in the hips allows me to dip around the corner. Another trait of mine that is very good is my football IQ.

8.What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

The type of energy I bring on the football field is my relentlessness and my ability to lead by example.

9.What do people need to know about Abu Kai Kai the person?

Outside of football, I am a very easygoing and funny guy who always loves to have fun and have jokes, and love spending time with my family.

10.What would a team get in a player like you?

They would get a player who is relentless, a player who isn’t a problem on and off the field, a player who has a good work ethic and a player who is coachable and the ability to change positions if needed and always shows up to meetings or practices 15 to 20 minutes early.

11.What is one thing you love about the game of football?

The physicality, being able to go out there one on one and manhandle somebody, and being able to be out there and be physical with somebody.

12.What are you looking forward to this upcoming season?

The most important thing I am looking forward to is the ability to play football again this fall.
