North Carolina high school football player Ian Wells shot and killed at the age of 15

Ian Wells a fifteen year old high school football player with dreams to play football for Oregon State was shot and killed this morning.

Ian Wells a fifteen-year-old standout football player for Person High School in Roxboro, NC had a dream to play for Oregon State, but that dream was cut short this weekend.

Accoridng to police reports, Wells was driving a van on Angler Avenue and South Alston Avenue just before 1 am this morning, when he was shot. The vehicle ended up crashing after he was shot. Wells was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Unfortunately, Ian succumbed to the injuries. Police are investigating the incident. A family friend was driving the van

A family friend was initially driving the van, and they stopped at the gas station to get a drink. That’s when someone shot Wells, according to Taborn. Wells then jumped in the van and drove off, but the suspect followed him and shot him again which caused him to crash.
