Houston Police Department open investigation into a sexual assault allegation against Texans QB Deshaun Watson
The Houston Police Department announced Friday on their Twitter account that a police report has been filed against Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.
“As with any allegation, the Houston Police Department is now conducting an investigation and will not comment further during the investigative process,”
Deshaun Watson’s attorney Rusty Hardin is happy that someone finally came forward to report the claim. He said it was a long overdue development.
“Now we will learn the identity of at least one accuser,” Hardin said. “We will fully cooperate with the Houston Police Department.”
The police investigation comes after 22 women filed civil lawsuits against the Texans gunslinger. All of them accused him of sexual misconduct or assault during massage sessions dating back to March of 2020.
The attorney for 21 of the women Tony Buzbee stated he was going to the police weeks ago but never once went, and there is still zero evidence on the table for those cases.
It is something to keep an eye on, that is for sure.
